Bible Faith for believers
Bible Faith for believers as outlined by Bishop Edward Brink
Bible Faith for believers for the believer. The believer is called to live by faith, believing, speaking, and acting upon the promises of the WORD of God.
1. Who has faith? Within every person is the capacity to exercise faith. Romans 12:3 (KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:3 King James Version (KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
2. What is Faith? Hebrews 11:1 King James Version (KJV)Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 Corinthians 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
3. How does faith come? Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:8-10 (NKJV) 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
4. Four places in the Bible that says the just shall live by Faith. A) Habakkuk 2:4 (NKJV) “Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. B) Romans 1:17 (NKJV) 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (C) Galatians 3:11 (NKJV) 11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” (D) Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV) 38 Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
