Introduction:

In life, we often strive to achieve greatness. We set goals, work hard, and push ourselves to be the best we can be. But what if we could go beyond greatness and achieve something even greater? According to the Bible, there is a way to achieve more than we ever thought possible. Here are five biblical principles to help us go from great to greater.

1. Seek God’s Will
One of the keys to achieving more is seeking God’s will for our lives. The Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” When we seek God’s will and trust in Him, He can guide us to the best possible outcome. We must be willing to surrender our own desires and trust that God’s plan is greater than our own.

2. Embrace Challenges
Sometimes achieving greatness requires us to face challenges and obstacles. But as Christians, we can find strength in knowing that God is with us every step of the way. Romans 8:28 reminds us that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Instead of fearing challenges, we should embrace them and trust that God will use them for our good.

3. Stay Focused on the Goal
To achieve greatness, we must stay focused on the goal. Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us to “run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.” When we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and the goal ahead, we can overcome distractions and obstacles that might otherwise hinder our progress.

4. Serve Others
Another way to achieve more is by serving others. Jesus said in Matthew 23:11-12, “But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” When we serve others, we not only help those in need but also develop humility and a servant’s heart. As we focus on others, God can use us to accomplish even greater things.

5. Persevere in Faith
Finally, achieving greatness requires perseverance in faith. James 1:2-4 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” When we persevere through trials and trust in God’s faithfulness, we can become more resilient and better equipped to achieve our goals.

Conclusion:
Achieving greatness is a worthy pursuit, but as Bible Believers, we are called to something even greater. By seeking God’s will, embracing challenges, staying focused on the goal, serving others, and persevering in faith, we can go from great to greater. As we strive to achieve more, let us remember the words of Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” With God’s help, we can achieve more than we ever thought possible.
